2020 Volvo V60 Redesign, Release Date and Price
Volvo V60 – The Volvo V60 2020 cart has been seen for the first time undergoing testing in Sweden. The new V60 will be one of the first vehicles to be launched under the automobile manufacturer’s electrification product strategy, which will see all its models switching to a hybrid powertrain from 2019 onwards. The cart will drive Volvo’s Scalable Product Architecture, which serves virtually every new Volvo product, including XC60 and XC90 crossovers.
The V60 driver is not entirely happy with the photographer who photographed his prototype and tried to block the camera. However, you can still see the vertical signature Volvo grille, narrow headlamps and vertically mounted patches. Not surprisingly, it looks like the V60 will take on a shrinking V90 display.

2020 Volvo V60 Engine Hybrid
Compared to the rest of the Volvo, the look and feel of the V60 and S60 are now ancient, a strange setback to a bygone era. The exterior style still survives (has there been a bad Volvo design?), But the age of V60 is clear from the glance. The difference in the interior is much more striking, but unfortunately, this new spy photo only shows a very disguised exterior.
Overall, the new 2020 Volvo V60 basically looks like a small-scale version of the full-size Volvo V90 wagon. For most people, that should be a good thing. The headlights, taillights and profiles are all straight from the older brother. It’s hard to see too much through the black cladding, but the openings on the front fenders indicate that this is a hybrid variant of the T8 plug-in. Depending on when the car was launched, the V60 can only be equipped with electric powertrains. –autoblog.com
Like the XC60 and all the “90” series models, the new V60 will drive Scalable Product Architecture (SPA) and will use a variety of four-cylinder engines. The top-of-the-range version will be a T8 plug-in hybrid that marries a 2.0-liter supercharged and turbocharged petrol engine with an electric motor to produce a combined output of 400 horsepower and 472 pound-feet (640 Newton-meters) of torque.
2020 Volvo V60 Redesign
Like the current model, the new V60 is likely to be offered in standard form along with high riding Cross Country trims. Expect interior treatment to be strictly followed by the XC60 crossover utility vehicle.
In typical Volvo fashion, the prototype wears a rather strange camouflage clothing with black and white disguise all over the body combined with plastic add-ons in several panels. The extra layer of camouflage looks like Swiss cheese with all the holes in it and gives the V60 an attractive appearance, if not slightly on the weird side.
Keen eyes will see the test vehicle having a cut on the left front fender, which probably means we are dealing with a plug-in hybrid vehicle because that’s where Volvo installs a charging port on its PHEVs. However, you will never be too sure when talking about prototypes. In fact, it may be diesel as in some countries the green nozzle usually refers to the diesel pump, although there are some exceptions.
Once the camouflage will fall, expect to see the beautiful design with the same tone as her bigger brother, the V90. It should be just about the same story inside because the cabin is not likely to get lost far from the Volvo product lately. Take for example the XC60 and XC90, which basically have the same dashboard design, just with different air vents and some other hidden variations. –motor1.com
2020 Volvo V60 Specs
inside, a feature that is now familiar with Volvo dash. We expect the same simple design of a 90-series car, which includes a 12.3-inch digital cluster size and a 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment screen. We may also see a small digital display that is integrated with some controller buttons, as seen in January on the Garmin interior concept.
2020 Volvo V60 production is likely to be done exclusively at the Volvo plant in Torslanda, Sweden, as most of the carts are expected to be sold in Europe. S60, at least for the U.S., will be sourced from a new plant under construction in Ridgeville, South Carolina. Volvo also plans to build the next generation XC90 at the Ridgeville plant.
